Thoughts become things

“We can receive from satan by believing what he says, or we can receive from God by believing His Word”. - “How to succeed at being yourself”, Joyce Meyer.

Thoughts become things.

I’ve heard this saying for so long, but only by reading this part in the book, “how to succeed at being yourself “from Joyce Meyer, that the Holy Spirit gave me a revelation and a deeper understanding of it. Thoughts who become things is not just a matter of manifestation, it’s a matter of receiving.

For example if I keep telling myself “I’m not worthy “ ,which is a lie that the enemy is trying to implant in my thoughts, I’m receiving it from the enemy and he will create situations to keep me in that state of mind. But if the enemy uses that same sentence to try influence my thoughts and I choose to rebuke it by reciting God’s word telling me how much He loves me and how much i mean to Him, I receive God’s word and God with His amazing grace will work a miracle in my thinking based on my faith in His word.

In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one. - Ephesians 6:16

This applies also on a material level. For example, if I work hard and come with allot of strategies to make money and keep saying every day, “I will have allot of money” but I don’t involve God in any way. The enemy also hears and he sees me working and reciting this “mantra” he’ll create situations who will eventually make me a millionaire. But you see the master plan of the enemy is to trick you/me into believing we can achieve everything on our own. That you and I don’t need God for anything an that we can be self-made everything. Not having in mind that all these earthly riches shall pass

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. - Matthew 24:35

But in the contrary if we work hard, and I cannot emphasis this enough, pray for everything we want, God who hears and sees will give us anything according to His plan for our life. And may we never forget that our plans are nothing compared to the plan God has for us. Please read this last paragragh again.

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:19

So, do thoughts become things? Absolutely!

But let’s make sure to make God the center of our thoughts. For with Him everything is possible.
